G'day All,

I just picked up my 2006 BF Tornado #0176 2nd hand two weeks ago. It's Bionic, Auto, 19" Dark Agent rims, Leather, Tint, FPV Steering wheel, Hard lid and spoiler and 20,000ks on the clock.

I love this thing! Man what a machine. :+1:

I'll take some pics over the weekend and post them here.

It doesn't have a towbar so I was wondering what type and how other people have fitted towbars to their FPVs. From looking the rear skirt panels are a bit different to XRs and I was hoping not to have to cut the body work.

Sorry if this question has been asked before. I've searched the forum but couldn't find it easily.

Thanks

Aaron

The dealer has had to cut a square hole in my rear bar to fit my Hayman Reese towbar to my XR....

Yeah it's a hayman reese, 1200kg or something I *think*.

Sticks out a looooong way, but you can always remove the gooseneck when you aren't using it, and you'd never ever know it was there.

Search around I was told by one dealer that they can fit the square hitch behind the removeble rear skirt so that way you just remove the skirt and hook up the tow ball. Problem is I can remember which dealer it was. Hunt around this is the only way I would do it.

I have the Std duty ford one

there are some pics of it on here

its a non removable type

I just cut a neat hole in the rear panel and it slotted in fine

If there is one that goes under the whole lot I'd like to see it? If mine went under the rear beaver panel it would be touching the road!

here was my post when I did mine in december with instructions

http://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/index.ph...st&p=599857

Tow bar was the ford Std one 1200kg Manual/1675kg auto/turbo

worth noting the turbo can pull 1675kgs if its an auto but your stuck to 1200 for a manual

Ryno

I was told that by the dealer as well, however when the towbar guy came out to fit it, he told me they still had to cut a slot in the removable skirt to fit the square hitch type.

I'll try and remember to get a picture, it doesn't sit THAT low, it protudes probably 50mm below the skirt?
