In order to get all the biz beneath the plate to make it light up, you'd have to drill away at the sill beneath the plastic bit.Don't get too carried away, or your car will split in half. Castro, you are right...You can actually run all the related wires under the plastic, without any changes to the frame...In turn running a small flat illuminating tube...(I haven't checked if there is enough of a gap between the bottom of the door and the sil once all wired up...)If there is about a 3-5mm gap then you should be fine...
