It's the new SD card one.

Mine works beautifully and I've totally sussed out how to get it to remain silent except for pinging when a speed camera/red light camera is coming.

However, it's is is proving to be a little tweaky and hangs up every now and again.

Luckily it's installed under the passenger seat so I can easily reach under and pull the plugs from the back to reboot it. Seems to need a reboot about once a week.

How reliable has any body else found them?

we've fitted a few of the VDO DVD based ones, and they seem fine, we did fit a couple of SD ones but not the VDO brand, no complaints so far!

I've got one installed too. No crashes in the last year I've had it. I love it. It's accurate, quick and scrolls much more smoothly than units not connected to the speedo. Software updates are easy. Quality system.

On the downside, I wish it used the ICC controls rather than having a separate remote, and sometimes (1/100 times) when warm starting at night with the headlights on it gets confused about whether to display day or night screen colours and gets it 50%/50% which usually means the text is white on white. Turning lights off then on fixes it. No biggie.

Thanks for the replies.

Since I posted I've had maybe 1 crash - can't really remember, so it seems to have become a bit of a non issue.

One thing - I wish I opted for the remote with illuminated keypad. It's a bit tricky working the keypad in the dark!

Hey Shrekie,

Just saw your post ...

I've got no idea how the output of the VDO plugs into the ICC. A subbie to the Ford dealer installed mine.

The VDO stuff I have shows the basic wiring - which is a little complicated in itself - you need the analog signal from the speedo!

There is nothing about the video output.

Try searching for installation of a reversing camera - it probably connects the same way.

If you get nowhere, try making a new post - I'm sure some of the gurus here can let you know!
