Hi everyone,

I have noticed in other topics this subject has been touched on but I have been wondering myself what these new FG'S will run. Feel free to take a guess or if you know the answers please share.

im thinking these figures.

XT 5 Speed auto = 0 - 100 in 7 and 1/4 in 15 flat.

XR6 T man or auto = 0 - 100 in 5.2s - 5.5s and 1/4 in low 13's. (Looking at the BF F6 times I imagine it being a tad faster due to less lag and the new launch control which would make my guesses close to target.).

XR8 man or auto = 0 - 100 in high 5's, maybe even 6 flat and 1/4 mile in 13.9 - 14 flat. I know that seems slow against the turbo but the BF FPV GT's wernt any quicker than that and its the same engine in the FG which is also heavier?

F6 = if 310kw is correct, I would be guessing torque figures will be around 575nm +. In that case I think a 12.9s is possible with a 0 - 100kmph in 4.9s. I hope that's an acurate guess because if so HSV would be sh*tting them selves because the LS7 (7.0l with 370kw is supposed to run a 12.7 1/4 mile and a 0 - 100 in 4.7s) which isnt much faster than a 310kw FORD for half the price.

GT= if 315kw is correct, I would be guessin 550nm of torque. It should run a 13.6 1/4 mile and 0 -100 in 5.5s.

What do you think?

I think you are pretty close too.

Not sure if they would release the XR6T as a low 13's car becuase then it will embarrass the GT which Ford cant have.

The GT I suspect wont do better than mid 13's, if that.

wheels tested over the weekend at lang lang. Standard xr6t 13.3 1/4mile.

Correct they did test at Lang Lang. On 95 ron fuel.

G6ET 0-100 in 5.1 and 0-400 in 13.3.

XT ran 0-100 in 6.8.

That's all I know.

Mid 13 does sound optimistic for the GT but that's what it needs to be competitive.

Maybe they should give out free nos kits with every GT lol

Yeah I think the turbo model cars will blow the pants of the 8's which is fantastic but in a sense sad. Ford and FPV have to pull of sub 14's 1/4 with there 8's to compete with Expensive Daewoo and HSV. But as I said I doubt the xr8 will get in the 13's and I recon the GT will sruggle to get a 13.5.

I personally like holdens and Fords, but I want an XR6T so that's why im going for the Ford. But if I was in the market for and 8, I would go holden. VE SS pulls a mid 13 stock. Faster than the new GT will pull I recon.

Alothough the BOSS sounds great.
