Hello.... So this is where the Terry has gone after getting towed from Ford. When you pulled it down was there a hole in the piston?? Or should I say a melted bit of piston crown? Good to see its coming back stronger than before. Goodluck with the build mate.

Ah ok. I thought I could see a piece of piston crown missing, when I looked down the plug hole with a snapon bore camera. Who is going to be tuning it this time? Should be a jet when its all done. Quite a few XR6ts and big 8 Holdens are going to be a bit upset haha.

Dont mean to come across rude, but you might want to check out post 117 in this thread, cos it doesnt match up with what you just wrote.Im only a mechanic at Ford,I dont make the calls on whats warranty and whats not. I think Franks a good bloke and thought his Terry looked awesome and always tried to help him when he came in for vibes etc. Un fortunately Ford head office dont come to the party when it comes to certain problems and want to inspect car before approving warranty. It wasnt anyone at our dealerships call to not repair under warranty for that matter. It was Ford head office. Im sure Frank knows my Service manager would of done everything he could to get it done,as at the end of the day,it would of still been money in our pockets. But with a tune, injectors, exhaust and a little high flow cat,it wasnt looking good. If we could of got the job,we would of and we tried.

Anyway enough of the past, hows the build coming along?

There has been a delay at the engine builders apparently and seems we may nit get to run it in at easternats as first hoped. Definately not happy but building cars that's how the cookie crumbles

Ah well,I dont think anybody has a smooth sailing story when it comes to a decent build such as this. Aslong as the finished product and result is what Frank is hoping for,all the rest doesnt matter when the day comes to starting it and driving it for the first time.. Hopefully its done sometime soon whilst the weather is getting colder, for a good run at the strip. Should see a low 11 now worries. Goodluck.

Given all the good gear and effort being put into this project, it would be a little sad if it didnt run a low 11 or even better, as long as the rest of the driveline holds up.. Heard whispers that the other fastest Terries were leaving the line at 10psi of boost, which would be definitely tough on the driveline. Im sure that there will always be those who will give their all for a great time, whatever the cost. Cant wait to see what this beastie will do!
