F6x Performance

At the risk of being royally bagged by you guys, I would buy one for my Mrs and the kids. I love my F6 but for 3 kids and all the sh*t that comes with them when we move as a family we need more space than what my little run about provides. In saying that, if I have to spend significant time in the car with the family I would love the F6X. Money is not the be all and end all. I work hard and I would much rather an F6X than a wanking X5. It's well priced when you consider the alternatives.

A wanking X5 hey. I'll take my X5 over a ford product anyday of the week, there's no comparison between the 2.

Can I ask why? I am being serious, I have to upgrade the family transport in the next 6 months and am seriously looking at the options. Is there a reason why you think the X5 is so much better than a TT?

Build quality, options & performance both outright speed and handling. I can push through the hills on the way home at 125 in the x5 and my BF xr8 ute is all over the road at 90, it's currently n/a with just a BPR cai YT twin t/body and custom tune. I dont think I could own a car with out air conditioned seats, during this heat they are absolute gold. Im looking at doing some mods soon, just need to find someone to tune it.

There is nothing wrong with the F6x except for the price FPV wanted for them.

If youi can get one for under $67k then it is worth the money, as they are a tarted up TTG, but the extras make it more special.

As for the X5 comparison, I have hosed many X5's including a 4.8is who was trying very hard.

Also the statement that leppy said about being quick off the mark is very true. My wife has blowen my F6 off the lights to 40kph everytime, after 40, the F6 starts to reign in the big TTG.

I am sure a F6x would be able to hold off a F6 for longer.

If you can do a deal, GET ONE. I personally have never seen on on the road, only at the dealers.

There's a white F6X near me and ive had a few goes at him, twice off the line iv'e put 2 cars lengths on it and ive only had a rolling run with it and we were line ball. I just planted it and didnt bother manually changing the gears. I'm extremly supprised at how quickly the thing gets off the mark for such a big heavy car and how well it handles at speed.

As much as I love my aussie built cars I dont think I could go back to owning one as a daily driver, I know the X5 costs twice as much as the F6X but you get what you pay for. If you can afford one go for it

Would be interesting to see the off road performance, it is a 4 x 4 after all.

The Territory is not a bloody 4x4 its an SUV,its AWD sure but yeah there is a difference where say the landcruiser has hub lock options and high and low gear ratio's,similar to that of a splitter in a truck gearbox, you wanna see a Territory 4x4?Go to the Ford discovery centre in Geelong, awesome. :buttrock:
