The thing is dags, the F6X territory rides hard enough as it is, if the height was chopped and the spring rates brouht up even more it would've been choppy and harsh like AU1 suspension, then they would've ruined the Territory and it wouldn't have been an "SUV"

So which would you buy Pat the F6X or a TTGhia value for money wise?

I have really gotta learn to start biting my tongue when entering these threads as I'm sure there are those that do like them and will carry on till the cows come home about how much better they are...or put there salesmen hats on :buttonit: ...but the thing I will never understand is that they didn't do anything with what could have been a great model, after all it's not Ford that really control there purse strings but Walkinshaw and Pro Drive and look at the lengths they go to at HSV....

Personally I would buy the TTG because at my age and my personality I would want to modify the car anyway. But as I've said, there are people that want to buy the best and not have to touch it - hence the F6X!

I can appreciate your opinion dags, and I agree with you to a certain extent, but when you look at the bigger manufacturer picture, you begin to understand the politics behind a particular model. Oh man I've had a few drinks..

And in regards to pro-drive and what they develop, that all comes down to how much Ford/FPV are willing to pay them, development takes time, new technology takes time, and as we all know time equals money!

Is this really any different from the old Phoon V Xr6t arguments?? ( of which I was staunchly in the T corner )

The reality is the FPV is a better car all round than the stock base equivalent, that is not in dispute.

Why then do we have so many Phoon owners on here ? Just another bunch of overpaid elitists ( STFU Trent) or are we just fulfilling a niche in the market that our friends at FPV have provided to satisy OUR needs, not those of the great unwashed :buttonit:

I would consider myself right smack in the middle of the target market for an FX6, they were not around when I bought the TTG so never had to actually choose but I drove one about 4 weeks ago and must say they do drive nice. It’s no F6 but it does not try to be, it offers ML AMG 55 performance in a package that about 1/3 the price and about 1/10 the cost to maintain.

The wheels are hideous but that’s just a personal view not a fact!

The interior is not my taste either but I (think) could live with it

Suspension is a big step in the right direction

Brakes are nice but to be honest the standard TT brakes are more than good enough

Value for money they are a touch on the expensive side but they are not aimed at TX buyers

When you round it all up, you can not purchase a vehicle in this country that can match it for practically, performance, value (cost to buy and cost to maintain) quite simply there is nothing around that’s even close this side of double the money!

As for the TTG with an edit and a few tricks ……… well that’s me! Yes mine is significantly faster but I don’t have a power train warranty. The fact is that FPV have done it, and they are selling.
