I run a track day at Qld Raceway (and now Lakeside) called Time Attack. It is a Sprint Style event run against the clock. It is a full day run as two half days, so you can come in the morning, afternoon or do the full day. It is run during the week.

The Event:

Each half day only has 4 groups of 10 cars maximum. You get plenty of laps and clear track to put down your best lap times. We use electronic timing to 1/100th sec.

Safety:

Safety is our primary goal. We group the cars to be of similar lap times to reduce overtaking.

We only allow overtaking on the straights and not on corners.

The Time Attack Series:

This year we launched a points based series. It is run on one half day at each event. As its points based the at track rules and conduct are the same. The next event will be round 3. The rules allow you to drop 2 rounds and still be in for full points. So if anyone is interested in this years series you can still compete for full points.

Beginners Group:

At the next track day on May 14, the afternoon session will have two beginners groups. If you are new to track day events this is a great opportunity. The beginners groups will only have 8 cars instead of 10. It will also get an extended drivers briefing and track side coaching from an experienced driving instructor at no extra cost.

How To Join:

The website with all the info is at: www.TimeAttack.com.au

To join fill out the form at: http://www.timeattack.com.au/mailing.php

The organisation of the day is run by email. Once you join your name will be added to the mailing list and you will get all the info for coming events. If you want to attend an event you email me with a booking request. The cost of a half day is only $130.

The event is made up of all makes and models. You don't have to be quick to come out. As I said above the groups are organised based on experience and speed. If your new or just want to cruise around there is a group for you.

Check out this link to the hall of fame to see the variety of cars we get:

Any questions etc please post below.

I hope to see you there.
