The difference between BF XR8 and Fairmont Ghia V8 was the sameFYI SS-V with 20's and Sat-Nav = $59,700 vs Calais V V8 with 20's and Sat-Nav = $65,300oh, an you lose the spoiler, but get a sexy little lip spoiler! I did a quick calculation :you can only get G6ET in auto so I will do a comparison with an XR6T Auto.G6ET = $54990 The Differences :Luxury Performance Control Blade Independent Rear Suspension (IRS), body kit, side mirror indicators, Power adjustable side mirrors with memory and reverse auto adjust, Electrochromatic rear vision mirror, Front scuff plates, Overhead sunglasses console, 8 -Way power adjustable driver seat with 3-position memory, 18inch rims. fully optioned XR6T = $54440The Differences : Sports Control Blade Independent Rear Suspension (IRS), body kit, power adjustable pedals, Alloy pedal covers, Power adjustable side mirrors, 4-Way power driver's seat, LSD, 19inch rims, Parimeter alarm. So at the end of the day the G6ET gets side mirror indicators, Power adjustable side mirrors with memory and reverse auto adjust, Electrochromatic rear vision mirror, Front scuff plates, Overhead sunglasses console, 8-Way power adjustable driver seat with 3-position memory which you dont get in the XR6T but in the XR6T you get power adjustable pedals, Alloy pedal covers, 4-Way power driver's seat, LSD, 19INCH rims, Parimeter alarm. The prices are within $600 and the differences are stuff all. Akthough the XR6T with an LSD and 19inch rims seems like the better buy, value for money wise, I mean the XR6T has electric mirrors, just no memory. Is that a big deal? The main thing the G6ET has over the XR6T is the drivers seat where the XR6T has a parameter alarm, G6ET doesnt? But in the G6ET's defence the leather will be full leather interior where the XR6T would be a sports leather set up.I do belive the G6ET should be around $1000 cheaper than what it is but I imagine the car will sell without trouble because at the end of the day, both these cars at these prices are fantastically equiped for the price you pay. Just both will accomidate different specrums of buyers. Would I get one, for sure if I could afford one. haha

chooch Member 256 Member For: 20y 9m 14d Location: Adelaide Posted 07/04/08 12:21 PM Share Posted 07/04/08 12:21 PM ELIASI havnt ordered My Turbo yet, basically because A family member of mine who works for FORD is going to try and get me a good price but there fore has to wait until there released early may. Hopefully June ill have my new baby.I will be getting a octane colored 6 speed manual XR6T with the technology pack ( I use my phone alot) and premiuim sound mainly so I get the colour screen instead of the mono colour screen. What sort of car do you drive currently? I mean have you thought about XR6 non turbo. They have 195-200kw depending of fuel used and a good amount of torque. I would be estimating 0 - 100kmph in high 6's, low 7's and Quater mile in high 14's to low 15's which isnt slow by any means and will save you alot of $$$$$ compared to the other 2 cars. The reason I suggest this to you is because you mostly cruise around town and ocasionally give it a squirt and I think the XR6 would definatly get up and go when needed. The saving of $5500 grand sounds temting too. I was originally going to get a non turbo XR6 but I currently drive a car around 175kw so for 40 Grand I want more than a 25kw increase!!This suggestion is only good though if you currently drive a car with alot less power than 200kw's. Eg. 150kw or less? Otherwise I guess you will be in the same boat I am in.CheersThought you didnt care about performance????Now the truth comes out
