If I put a small pod straight on the turbo inlet (just for noise, not performance!) will it screw anything up not having any pipe or anything coming off it? It's only for short periods of time only.

Thanks!

I wouldn't bother mate, it would be a very small pod to fit down in there, then you would have to block off the normal inlet. With the amount of heat around that area I reckon you would lose performance

I found this tiny 'DRIFT' pod down at Autobarn. It's just for noise. I'll give it a go and post the vid.

Cheers!

Imagine the sweet ass tie-fighter sounds the intake would make as you fly down the street though :P make sure you record the sound if you do it

I have a 30 cm pipe direct off my turbo connected to a pod which is inside an air box. The induction noise is crazy! The turbo noise is so cool on WOT!

I agree the pod is cool - I have one of RAP1DS intakes!

I trial fitted my pod to the mouth of my turbo and it wasn't the length, but rather the width that fouled the placement

I tried it and it sounded like a rattle snake. The turbo noise was heaps louder though.

Can you hook up a dose pipe to stock piping? Anyone got any pics?

Mate I run a dose pipe and its fcking crazy, but you cant get one in there with the factory setup.

To get the best dose you need a 90 deg bend straight off the turbo.

James buddy, you can fit a 90 dgree dose pipe but its a very tight fit, but I dont understand what you mean by using stock piping? Dose pipes are only short tubes of metal with a pod filter attached, if you wanted to keep this permanently, for neatness purposes you would get rid of the airbox and run a pipe from the cooler straight to the plenum.

Sorry, I meant with the stock cold side cooler piping.

Does anyone have a pic of a 90° dose pipe?

Thanks :innocent:
