totally Buf - the sad thing is though, its tuff to get a service dept excited by waranty work :idunno:

pepe - where did you buy your car? Has it always been serviced by us?

Car purchased from Peter warren Warwick Farm brand new in 2003 all services carried out

by Peter Warren except the 60k when I was away and service was carried out

by another mechanic.

This is the 3rd major problem ive had with my car.

1st was leaking rear windscreen damaged all my interior seats and all

(had to fight for Ford to do something about it)

2nd was radiator split not long after service

(nobody wanted to hear about it as warranty finished)

3rd Blown turbo

OK - has your car been serviced by PW? has the correct oil lways been used? How old is the car?

I'm in two minds about this - but I work at Peter Warren, not in service, but in sales. If all the servicing has been done with us and the car is still in warranty, you should get a new turbo - also, is it modified?

that's another thing what is the correct oil that should be used in the car?

The oil type stated in the book has not been used

ok, the Brand of oil isn't really an issue, its the weighting - 15W-40 I beleive is what the handbook recommends.

How many K's has the car done now?

Without warranty it is going to be an uphill battle pepe, unless there is some way you can show the dept where they have gone wrong, its going to be up to you.

I would suggest take it up with Ford CRC and explain that the car has been serviced by a ford service dept and cleaning the oil supply line screen is part of the servicing - this not being done has led to your turbo seizing.

that's as much advice as I can give you, and probably the only way you will have a chance at getting this done under warranty

well there's one point for your claim!

Call Ford CRC and get them involved, state your case. Again, I can't stress enough how hard this will be considering you are 1.5 years out of warranty, unless you get a customer relations person that is having a great day!

Ive had the oil screen cleaned when I first bough the car (pervious owner paid for the service as it was due) I had them thoroughly inspect and clean the filter.

Had it done again at the last service (after 15,000kms) and was still clean.

I will be removing it all together at the advice of many people here at my next oil change.

more trouble than its worth. If you use good quality synth oil, with regular changes (every 7,500) and a good filter I really dont think its needed.
