Their pre delivery also is run by a bunch of idiots as well .... the car had one wrong door trim fitted (cloth instead of leather) they'd have to be blind to miss that one , the hot side intercooler piping was not even connected F%^kwits

Why even pay pre delivery costs ( I got free mats for that screw up) Never went back thou, next two services were done at Peter warren Smithfeild, They where alot better, they even hoist your car in the waiting bay and inspect with you to go thru all your issues .

give smithfield a go if you insist on fraud service.

No mods carried out at all. Car is stock.

Warranty ran out about 1 and half years ago.

Nobody wanted to hear about it until I threatened further action now they want to mediate.

Its just not fair how this works.

I know its a pain in the a$$ when things screw up but your out of warranty.

Why should ford pay for it outside of their 3 year warranty.

Its hard enough to get them to pay when is in the warranty period so outside of it I really cant see them paying, it's not like its just out, it's one and a half years out

These are things to think about when you buy a older model turbo with no warranty and is the reason the price to buy is so much cheaper.

I dont work for ford and have had my own battles with ford but when you dont have warranty then you have to pay

Dale Ford are the worst. Absolute lowest of the the low. Most unpleasant dealing with any good or service I have ever experienced. As for their pick up service and drop off :bash: Wouldn't even buy an O ring off those kents.

Remainder of post self sanistised :spoton: Yes, still furious nearly 2 years later :msm::censored: . Service at your own peril people.

The only thing this dealership stands behind is their collective arses.

PS. dont ring me without your cheque in my favour

I had my v8 rtv into range ford to replace the cam phasers becase of a bad ticking from the motor and when I got it back it ran like crap.

I sent it back in 4 differant times for the same problem and was told each time that it was fixed.

In the end I stopped driving the ute that I paid $33000 for and it just sat at home till my wife drove it last week and ran so bad it that I got roadside assist out and they told me it needed towing to ford.

I demanded that it not go back to range ford and it was towed to park ford who fixed it properly and told me that a main vac line had popped off and its not covered by warranty so I'd have to pay the tow fee.

Well I explaned that I have never worked on it. All service work has being done in ford dealerships and and in the end they charged me nothing.

Now 1 year after getting Range ford to "fix" it, it runs just like when I first bought it.

What have I learnt, NEVER TAKE A CAR BACK TO RANGE FORD FOR ANYTHING!!!

I think the major reason that Ford service is so bad (I actually haven't had a prob apart from my T not being ready on time, and it was a big job) is that about 90% of the workshop employees are apprentices. As a mechanic myself I ALWAYS recommend to any new apprentices that they should start in a small mechanical workshop, not a dealer for this reason. There is never enough mechanics to teach them the basics.

I would't worry too much about warranty running out. In Australia anything you buy (warranty or not) has what's knows as an 'Implied Warranty'. In other words, the manufacturer needs to supply goods which are 'Fit for their purpose' (if it's a car it should do what a car is meant to do) and are of 'Merchantible quality' (the quality of the product is satisfactory for the type of product it is). You can easily argue that your Turbo should last much longer than what it has, there is no reason why Turbos wont last as long as the motor.

Pepe, dont go for anything less than a new FREE turbo. If they don't come to the party then simply put an application in to the Small Claims Tribunal of your state. Basically, manufacturers really dont like going to these things, if they do go then then basically need to argue that it's ok for their product to fail prematurely, which obviously doesn't make them look very good.
