New Injectors For New Dump Pipe

I have heard that new injectors are needed after installing a bigger than stock dump pipe (I am looking at a four inch). Is this true? I have also heard that this is a load of crap.

I am not too keen to upgrade the injectors at the moment as I only have 3200Km on the clock and I have been told this will void my warranty. This warranty business is stuffing me up at the moment.

Any information on this dilemma would be appreciated.

What sort of wagon are you driving there mate and how much power is all dependant on what you want to do.

You are goin to have to change your injectors before your cat and exhaust.

The best advice I can give is to sit down and work out what sorta power you want and then go and buy the stuff and fit it all at once save spending time and money running back and forth to tuners.

Just my advice for you cause it can tune expensive if things aren't planned out to start with.

There are plenty of posts going round that can give you a logical game plan on what to do first and what order

Goodluck happy modding and welcome

I would have thought installing a bigger dump pipe would also void your warranty

Injectors can start maxing out anywhere from 260rwkw onwards I thought.

well pretty much anything you do will void your warrenty, as stated he needs to let us know what he has as in model car and stuff.

Your most accurate info will com from a tuner jasper361 they can always point you in the right direction

A bigger dump pipe is way down the Mod list.

Things I would be doing before it are,

F6cai, edit, intercooler, injectors, valve springs, fuel pump and ether a uprated clutch or auto rebuild.

I have an Rspec Typhoon (#39). I am not after major power (if one could say 300 - 350kw is fairly modest). I guess at this point I am after the best value for money mods.

Ok Then, Bang for buck and in this order.

1. Tune

2. Injectors

3. Dump & cat (do these together)

4. Fuel pump/ Surge.

Go as far as you want in this order until your budget runs out....

All these mods can be fitted well to a stock engine and can be chosen to support mid 400rwKW without needing to be upgraded again.

At this stage- mid to low 300rwKW - more power is risky to conrods/ Pistons. If this were not an issue, more power is available through intake mods. (better intercooler, reduce piping). Improved drivability, respone and economy is available just by doing intake mods, but A tuner will be extremely responsible in limiting the power/ boost characteristics to something the stock engine can handle.

Anyway let us know what you decide to do and what actual results you get :innocent:

Cheers,

Chris.

low-mid 300s is only risking on a BA motor, not a properly tuned F6/Post-July BF bottom

Cheapest mods- Siemens injectors, Custom tune, RAP1D intercooler + CAI (site sponsor) & a new cat. That'll see you to 320-330.
