It must suck being a HSV owner, they repeatedly get burnt by power hikes.

It happens EVERY time, you think they'd see it coming by now.

They don't even have the decency to do it with a model change, just with model 'updates'.

Power upgrades is perhaps the weakest thing I've ever heard someone complain about..... on an Enthusiast board to boot.

I don't think he's complaining about the power hikes, I think he's trying to say that if you bought a 307, then halfway through a model run the power goes up, you'd be left with a car identical but worth less money

Think of the petrol those engines would chew if you gave em some stick. I wouldn't be surprised if they increased the petrol tank size and made those things even more heavy.

So it looks like we AGAIN we will be behind in the KW race, just by 2 farking kw..

On another note ford have done pretty well to get similar power out of a smaller NA V8

Ford can change that by releaseing a CAI upgrade for $100 :) 2KW haha

all Expensive Daewoo ever do is put a bigger engine in. what a load of BS 6L to 6.2 and the new VE 427 with a 7L. ford is still pushing 320 out of a 5.4L its not the size its how you use it.

and I agree id hate to own a commy there resale value is sh*t compared to ford. every few months there is something new limited editions or specials.

they only thing limited is there intelligence

What does displacement have to do with it, if the fuel economy and output are comparable? The LS3 is physically smaller and a fair bit lighter than that 5.4L, so yes, I guess it is in how you use it.

What matters:

317kw (436hp)

550nm (428lb/ft)

190kg(420lbs)

14.5L/100km

302kw (405hp)

540nm (398lb/ft)

298kg (656lbs) (got this weight off another Australian Ford forum, so I can't say how accurate it is)

14.7L/100km

The intelligence comment would make a lot more sense if you'd have tried to get your spelling and grammar in order.
