Just looking to upgrade my pove pack on my XR6T (its a 2003 but was actually brought in Dec 2002) to the premium sound with climate control. I know I am a bad spell so you dont need to tell me. I have seen this done by Mrbean but in his ute. Just wondering if putting in the climate control in the 4 door will make anydifference and will anything need to be changed. Other then the ICC ofcause. I just like having climate control. On the other hand I very much want the Colour screen for a audio/video upgrade I want to do later. I want a Dvd plaver where the tissue box goes, with the 3* RCA out for eather one 4 channel amp or two 2's amp and a sub amp dont know speakers atm and such like just trying to upgrade the ICC first. Also in the plan is to get the colour TFT Screen in the ICC to be hooked into the dvd player so that it can be switched between, along with monitors in the head rests. Most of this is no problem I would just love to know how much of a problem it is to swich the ICC and climate control, and will need somehelp with the connection to the screen and switch.Rest is easy haha. Thax for any info on this. Ohh and the reason why I dont want to use the fords premium sound is becasue I dont like the quality of the D/A converters and would much rather a high quality decoder, and the Dvd player would be cool. So if you need to know anymore just let me know and does this sound like a reasonable plan?Cheers Allan

This way you have your DVD along with all the other goodies a carputer can provide.

I know I am still going to get road noise and all the things that go along with a car as well as carputers are very hard to get running right all the time. Thax for the other link to the other forum looks like it is quite hard to change to climate control so ill just leave it alone, and get the TFT screen. Thax for the info guys

If you pluged a computer into an onkyo and then into a Lynn system no real difference but plug a decent dvd player into onkyo sounds the same as computer plug it into lynn sounds fantastic. Ofcasue I am not going for lynn (like aston martin's do) but something better then what the factory head unit puts out. Its alot of work but I like that kind of thing and I personaly rate soundquality over a carputer not as cool but I love my CD's.I know I sound picky and stuck in my ways, and I sort of am but its quality I am chassing

Also dvd, video, mp3 etc are all bonuses. If I just wanted audio/visual I would of gone the same path as you're going to.
