Hey folks,

Thanks for the great write-up - I just did this today to my FG F6 but I have a question.

I used 2 chair tips over the BOV pipe and to block the pipe on my X-over. I put an 8mm odd hole in the chair stopper over the BOV pipe just to see if I'd like the sound before I bought a mini-filter.

I read in this thread something about blocking up the thin, black vacuum hose with a screw or something.

Can anyone explain how this is done, why it's done and if I need to do it.

Thanks guys,

Dan

So I feel dumb for asking, but can someone help me out with this on my Terry. New to turbos, and wanna try this for a day or so.

So the red dot is is post intercooler, and the 30odd mm hose goes to the BOV

the green dot is the air intake that goes to the other side of the BOV,

The white dot is like a 8mm line coming off the end of the BOV

The blue isss the BOV.

What and where do I block/vent? The write up is good, but as it looks a bit different on the terry I just want to make sure im doing it correct. Cheers boys

ignore the red dot end of the hose, remove hose from green dot(where it enters blow off valve) use a chair stopper to plug this hose and use existing clamp to hold it in, now this end of the blow off valve will be free, if you want to block it off to make the tu tu tu sound (flutter) put a chair stopper in this end as well and clamp it on, if you want to make a whoosing sound, either but the mini breather on it or a rubber stopper with a 8mm or thereabouts hole in it

Thanks mate, exactly the explanation I was chasing. will have a crack at this tomorrow.

Just out of curiosity, the Red and the Green dot, which is the inlet/outlet

green dot is outlet of blow off valve, hence the whooshing sound when it is disconnected and vented straight to atmosphere instead of just being plumbed back
