The smaller hose is not long enough. It just kinks. Witch pipe are you talking about that would be sucking in unfiltered air?do you remove the crossover? I ended up just cutting that little hose shorter and clamping it down. It sounds louder now.Yeah I am taking the cross over off. I have big hands and a short fuse so I wouldnt be able to get it in with out taking the cross over off But yeah the small thin hose that's on the opposite side of the BOV is so short I cant turn it around with out it kinking. It is all in now and loving the sound.

GPW Member 20 Member For: 14y 2m 17d Posted 10/06/11 03:30 PM Share Posted 10/06/11 03:30 PM Have just bented the stock BOV on my FG XR6T. Used the below parts:1. A bunnings 25mm rubber chair stopper (wich tapers to a wider end),which is 25mm internally. (Pkt of 4 for $5)2. A 20-38MM metal hose clamp thingy to secure the stopper onto the Crossover end opening, once the piping was removed - $1.503. A 25mm K&N Breather - $35The last FG XR6T I had I left stock, so for this FG was a much liked mod as I actually heard some noise from underneath the bonnet without having to boost hard.Makes a long psssssccccchhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh sound when you back off the boost/accelerator - not as crisp a sounds as I would like it {ideas for this sound's welcome}, but not bad for under $50.Best part - completely reversable if needed, and also, no noise when cruising/slowly acceleration, just when you want it.Cheers

psifed2 Member 69 Member For: 13y 10m 27d Posted 15/07/11 02:36 PM Share Posted 15/07/11 02:36 PM My set up is bunnings plugs on both of the tubes comin off the crossovers back and the front one going under neath to the BOV, completely removed the BOV. 5mm hole in the plug at the back and put a screw in the vacume hose. Is this okay?
