G'day,

Just did this to my FG (see pic) hope it's correct.

Sounds like a long ssscchhhhhh when you lift off the throttle. It's much louder then I thought it would be, I can hear it even over music inside the cab.

All up cost about a 20 (the breather being the most exxy)

Im only new to the turbo game but doesn't this mod hurt your turbo? I have herd of blocking the blow off to get a tututu sounds. Is this what this is? Or is this different? I do badly need some sound from my engine haha. I just don't want to kill anything in the long run.

All it does is make the turbo slow down quicker then it normaly would, haven't really heard of any failing solely because of a blocked bov. Some guys on here have been running big power with blocked bovs for years without hassle.

Just purchased & installed the Turbosmart Kompact Dual port.

Took all of 2min to detatch old & conect new.

Being an Auto, the only time you hear it is when I build up boost & back off.

Makes both *tu tu tu* & *pshhh* noise LMFAO !

just a quik one. Im running 17psi and when I change gears obviously all the pressure is being dumped in front of the turbo on the filter side.

Would it make a difference to the spool up time if that pressure that has been dumped there is gone I.e vented??

I spose it would probably be minimal

I just went down to super cheap and had the worst luck haha. So I need a 25mm oil breather they only had 23mm and rubber stops. What size are they?

Well I just finished doing this mod. As usual mine doesn't look anything like any one eles and was so hard to get the bastard to fit -.-

But I couldn't turn the BOV around to make the filter sit facing the passenger side of the car. And where it is now is very very tight, Im surprised that smaller hose hasn't snapped =/

Here are some pics of what im talking about.

Can anyone tell me why? :bangcomputer:

that's originally how I had mine Brennan. Works fine but I modified mine a little. You know how you have the filter rubbing up against that thick rubber hose that plumbs back into the crossover? You should remove that thick rubber hose and put a 1" chair stopper in its place and seal it with a hose clamp. You'll find that you have sh*tloads more room there and it won't be anywhere near as cramped =]

just loosen the clamp that's holds BOV and turn it around? like TonyD said you have to block the other pipe or your car will be sucking in unfiltered air.

it looks like you've been trying to do the job without taking off the crossover lol

How exactly do I turn it around? The smaller hose is not long enough. It just kinks. Witch pipe are you talking about that would be sucking in unfiltered air?
