But I think FG's run like 3 to 5 pound more boost then a stock Ba so will make a big difference on noise. Was extremely easy to do and took less that 10 minutes and around 8 dollars, basically all I did was cut the factory pipe (going from BOV to crossover) in the middle and on the intake side I put a 25mm poly pipe stopper on (with a hose clamp). On the turbo side, I did the same think but drilled a 4mm hole in the end of the stopper and again fastened with a hose clamp. While looking through the shed I noticed I had more polypipe stoppers and decided to make 2 more.Stopper 1 - 4mm hole .. makes a nice sch tutututututut sound.Stopper 2 - 8mm hole .. makes a schhh sound as well as tutututu sound (both in sync)Stopper 3 - 13mm hole .. makes a schhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh sound .. which seems to go for ages!My favourite one would have to be the 8mm hole one, I find myself dropping the throttle a bit more to get the sound but it sounds sweet, havent got any pics as of yet, but it really takes only 2 minutes of time to change from one to the other Hope this inspires someone else Marc Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/43919-venting-the-stock-bov/page/17/#findComment-1083721 Share on other sites

Donating Members 15,637 Member For: 18y 10d Gender: Male Location: Melbourne Posted 24/02/11 08:33 AM Author Share Posted 24/02/11 08:33 AM Good post mate, the Tutututu sound is compressor surge, nothing to do with the bov as a fully blocked bov makes the same sound. Not sure why the stock bov just makes the schhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh sound when fully vented rather then the high pitched Paaachhh (rex style) sound. Maybe a trumpet on the end makes a difference or just a harder spring?? that's the sound I'm chasing anyway, on a G6 would be piss funny I think.
