JBJARROD Member 12 Member For: 15y 7m 25d Posted 14/09/09 09:23 AM Share Posted 14/09/09 09:23 AM People are putting the filters on because stuff such as dirt may get into your manifold and wreck your turbo/motor slowly etc.I did this mod this afternoon. I bought a 50 cent garden srinkler stopper thingy from Bunnings (it looks like a chair stopper thingy but is plastic, its about 15mm wide I think roughly), has the lip on it to so a hose fits on it well.I dont mind the sound. Im running 15psi and at low boost it makes a pssssshhhhh sound that seems to go on for a while but when you hit full boost and back off it makes a pshtutututu sound similar to standard but bit noisier and more pschhh haha if you get me.I recommend the mod to anyone. Only cost me 50 cents to do it as well, but just using the standard hose clamps, although prob wouldnt hurt changing all the hose clamps as the standard ones are fairly basic and average but seem to do the job. Brendan XR6-T Member 88 Member For: 15y 3m 2d Gender: Male Posted 17/06/10 04:18 PM Share Posted 17/06/10 04:18 PM my bov is vented with filter. I noticed when I back off under throttle light or heavy I obviously get the ppsssccchh sound but it also happens under very light/light consistant throttle say going up a long hill it will ppssssscccchhh the whole way. As soon as I give the peddle abit more of a dab it stops. Its running 14psi but I dont think that should really have much of an effect at low revs light throttle. My qustion is my bov stuffed or is this normal
