How exactly do I turn it around? The smaller hose is not long enough. It just kinks. Witch pipe are you talking about that would be sucking in unfiltered air?

do you remove the crossover?

Cheers for that pic mate. I ended up just cutting that little hose shorter and clamping it down. It sounds louder now.

Yeah I am taking the cross over off. I have big hands and a short fuse :bangcomputer: so I wouldnt be able to get it in with out taking the cross over off :P

But yeah the small thin hose that's on the opposite side of the BOV is so short I cant turn it around with out it kinking. It is all in now and loving the sound. :icon_ford:

Lazy, you also have broken the plastic PCV Valve that runs back into the cross over.

Look mid way down in this pic of yours and that shiny bit on the left should have a thread on it into the crossover.

The thread is probably broken off in the crossover now.

Use a flat head screwdriver to twist it back out.

Here is the thread I started when I found mine was broken.

Part number for the little bit that screws into the crossover is BA 9V684A and was $23 from Ford.

Yeah mate that was another problem and another story haha. I got the connection from ford for 17 bucks :P Perth falcons member discount.

But yeah it was a easy fix... Just annoying. All good now though :d

Have just bented the stock BOV on my FG XR6T.

Used the below parts:

1. A bunnings 25mm rubber chair stopper (wich tapers to a wider end),which is 25mm internally. (Pkt of 4 for $5)

2. A 20-38MM metal hose clamp thingy to secure the stopper onto the Crossover end opening, once the piping was removed - $1.50

3. A 25mm K&N Breather - $35

The last FG XR6T I had I left stock, so for this FG was a much liked mod as I actually heard some noise from underneath the bonnet without having to boost hard.

Makes a long psssssccccchhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh sound when you back off the boost/accelerator - not as crisp a sounds as I would like it {ideas for this sound's welcome}, but not bad for under $50.

Best part - completely reversable if needed, and also, no noise when cruising/slowly acceleration, just when you want it.

Cheers

My set up is bunnings plugs on both of the tubes comin off the crossovers back and the front one going under neath to the BOV, completely removed the BOV. 5mm hole in the plug at the back and put a screw in the vacume hose. Is this okay?

Doesn't sound like it, can you post up a pick?

This mod has almost become obsolete now that you can buy the knockoff turbosmart kompacts for $60.
