my bov is vented with filter. I noticed when I back off under throttle light or heavy I obviously get the ppsssccchh sound but it also happens under very light/light consistant throttle say going up a long hill it will ppssssscccchhh the whole way. As soon as I give the peddle abit more of a dab it stops. Its running 14psi but I dont think that should really have much of an effect at low revs light throttle. My qustion is my bov stuffed or is this normal

The noise your hearing is air being drawn in through the BOV not boost escaping. When you open the throttle more the engine vacum reduces and as boost begins to build it shuts off the BOV. This is why its so important to have a filter on the BOV if you decide to vent it.

People will argue the point to the end of time but the stock BOV in the stock config DOES open at idle and under light load/cruise condition

I can not budge these stupid clamps, they are all twisted on the hose in spots I can't get the pliers over. Worst clamps ever. Any ideas??

Kink, Its a great idea to change those clamps to screw type ones if you plan on changing them again.

I did it on mine and it takes not even 5 min to change it back and forth now.

Im putting mine back to stock.. im getting boost leaks ... and plus kinda over the sound... :dontknow:

If your considering doing this, make sure you buy the screw clamps as you get the sh*ts with the stock ones and how they adjust lol :spit:

Kink mate.. Like I said. If your going to do this properly, I would use the screw clamps for a tight fit! It was leaking from the bov clamps

Wasn't a major leak but you could tell when your full on boost..

it's funny you say that as I'm having a problem with one of those screw clamps, the one on the piping coming from the top of the turbo. I can not tighten it enough and the pipe moves...
