If you look at those, those calipers put themselves very close to the rim, these use standard calipers, which sit a lot further away from the rim. One thing to note Genebaby is that the bracket used for the kit actually makes the caliper sit further towards the wheel by about 1.5 - 2 cm I discovered. The rotor depth is also the equivelant difference in cm's from the factory rotor to accomodate this. However regardless, I still think the 325mm + C6 PBR's would still sit closer to the wheel but I can't confirm it. I have 20's with 8.5" wide front and a +35 offset and their is no dramas with clearance but I can't comment about 17's or 18's. I've fitted the kit up but I'm just waiting for the pads and I have been cleaning up the calipers in the meantime. Overall I'm pretty impressed with the kit for the price and the bracket are solid as so in terms of safety I have zero concerns. I'll start a new thread in the next few days with pictures. I have the BF brakes with slotted rotors, those LTM pads and braided lines all round. The QFM brake pad dealer didn't know about them and ordered them in for me. For the rear I had to give them some standard rear pads to apply the LTM compound to as they didn't make them for Terry/BF rears. They are good pads. Didn't squeal initially, but do a little now on light braking. Not very dusty. My old Ferodo Formulas worked well, but were much dustier and noisier.I know of someone who has put these on and thinks they are great. They weren't around when I was doing my brakes and I'm more than happy as it is, but it's a good idea.I've seen it mentioned before where you won't get any better braking ability with larger brakes, that's bull. Put some mountain bike brakes on your car and see if it stops the same. Even from the first application, there is more disc to take the thermal load, I noticed this when slowing down on a spirited drive when I first had them changed, difference was remarkable. I did the rears as well though.

I have figured they are 330mm Mustang discs, as found in the DBA catalog, but one of the guys still said no. Mind you, he wouldn't or couldn't answer my question of which discs to get come replacement time. I would want a choice of rotor when they need replacing. Something to think about. I should do some measurements on the rotors and post them in the new thread. My old man has a 2002 mustang (well 2 of them lol) so I'll look at his rotors as one has the DBA 4000's. Thanks for your input genebaby.

If you get 4000's in for your current setup, they will fit fine.

Does it come with an engineering certificate? If it doesn't you mite find yourself with an un-roadworthy and un-insured car....

You need an engineering certificate to lower your car so in the end of the day I don't think it matters.
