first of all, forget about what the fuel consumption says... its been said to death, but there's only one way to test how much fuel your car is using. Fill it up to the click, drive it till empty or alternatively to 100kms, then re-fill it and see how many litres it actually used.

My computer tells me I average 12.5L, but when I do the little test, depending on how I drive, it's usually anywhere between 12.5 and 13.5L.

My car has 300rwkw, so obviously how you put the foot down is gonna be the biggest factor. Also, lots of city driving is :spoton: for these cars.

Hey, dunno if it helps, but my car when I fitted just the APS CAI and K&N air filter used about 3 or 4 l/100lkms more fuel than before to about 18l 1/100kmk - very similar to what you were talking about. I then got the rest of the APS phase II and the fuel usage went down to about 12.5L /100km

I think the retune helped, but I don't think the fuel gauge is accurate as it reads I should get about 600km to a full tank, whereas I only get about 400 - 420 km per tank (not running it fully dry, but on empty)

Would suggest you get a retune to optimise the fuel mixture, otherwise go back to standard. I like the throttle response of a better CAI, so the extra fuel would be worth it for me. Remember that there are some differences from factory and I thought that mine was using more fuel than standard when I first got it.

went to the coast today did 178km, need to fill up now...... that's on a 50 ltr tank though

Geez, you could watch your fuel gauge needle go down as your driving. I suppose that's what you get with the power your cars putting out.

hey guys....

just wanted to get an idea on what sort of fuel consumption your getting whilst your car is cold.....I'm seein some seriously scary numbers both at idle and during light accelaration.....this seems to last until the car is well past the quarter mark on the temp gauge.

the car does feel a lot more sluggish when cold, compared to my previous cars, but again, I'm not sure if I'm bein anal and just worrying too much.....

thanks guys

Dont worry about instantaneous fuel flow... look at an average over a whole tank and you have a good figure. I get consistently over 500km per tank, but if yours is an auto you would be looking at around 450.
