The best way is fill her up and divide the amount of kms you done by the amount of fuel you put it and theres your answer, let you know how close the tripmeter actually is. But it sounds like your pretty happy with the fuel consumption so that's really what counts. Shane.

Nevertheless, for the non-believers do the caluclations yourself, 530 actual kms on less than 3/4 tank gets mighty close to 800km.To that add a smooth idle, constant power increase with throttle and speed, no surge, shed loads of torque, no need for replacement valve springs, boost sustained below 9psi......testament to a sound mod, bloody good tuner and the careful use of a dyno; now If only I could get that bloody power steering shudder sorted.Dingah

My last highway trip nearly 1200km I averaged 10.5k a litre which I was very happy with. If I had had 270RWKW and got the same as you Dingah id be happy as a pig in sh*t! darthy Member 13 Member For: 20y 3m 7d Posted 26/01/05 08:40 AM Share Posted 26/01/05 08:40 AM My fuel consumption is like 16.9/100 and I drive a standard BA XR6.I do like to accelerate here and there but I wouldn't say I thrash it. Should I perhaps get that checked out?

Donating Members 703 Member For: 20y 3m 3d Gender: Male Location: Melbourne Posted 26/01/05 09:09 AM Share Posted 26/01/05 09:09 AM I drove from darwin to melbourne recently in my stock T. Leaving the territory (no speed limits + no traffic = stupidly fast) I was only getting 350 from a tank. Slowed down once I hit civilisation and I was getting about 650 from a tank. that's cruise at about 140 the whole run. And on another topic, I did the drive with a mate in his VX Commondore. I had to stop in every town and wait 30min for him to catch up. I just got back to work and hes sold it and bought a T ute.

I will give it another go and see if it improves as I get a reasonable discount if I use it , just got to weight it up
