Not much point worrying about until the engine is run in ( up to 20KKm with average driving ), I can get 8.5-9L/100 on highway and 12-13L/100 around town average on 95 octane

City stop/start driving for any large displacement car is always not so good. Its still very good for a potent comfortable car.

My TTG can get down to the mid 7L per 100 if I sit on 85km/h Last weekend we filled her up and went from Campbeltown to Capertree (past Lithgow) she was loaded with 3 big lebos a sh*tload of guns, amo, food, water fuel ect drove up there spirited footed here and there done 2hrs of soft 4 wheel driving while hunting and drove back. On our way back I dropped into the weigh bridge and we weighed an incredible 2450kg! dropped everyone off and by the time I was home she was sitting on 10.2L after 440km of driving we still had just over 1/3 of a tank.

TTG runs 3.46 diff gears an extra transfer case front diff and has 275/40 SUV tyres all way round bonnet scoop and small rear air wing wouldnt help with aerodynamics either. She averages 475km around town with a damn lot of WOT.

Daily driving the avg for me sits between 10-11L/100. It's the only thing on the car that runs into the 9's....... after a longish highway drive. The car is an FG MK II Turbo.

lately, my fuel consumption has been 14-16L/100km and I thought it was me being a rev head.

Turns out that one of the bolts on the turbo came lose which means a cracked rear housing.

I managed to tighten the bolt to see if it made a difference and it has.

Consumption went down to 13.4 during the last fill up.

I wish I had 9L/100km..........

Sounds like someone is still jealous about this. I will get the TUNA to make sure this don't happen no more.

The only reason that it was there, was to match with the car colour.

The car isn't on WOT all the time, cause it ain't stolen.

I get maybe 450km but never let it get below 1/4 if I can help it, so the trip meter is usually around 300 at the most
