nathanway Member 106 Member For: 13y 3m 14d Gender: Male Location: townsville Posted 26/12/11 11:54 PM Share Posted 26/12/11 11:54 PM I drive mine around like a normal person changing at about 2200 and I get about 11.5Lper100klms that's with the ac off, it can be as high as 17L per 100klm (in town conditions) ac on and a boot hear and there is all it takes .my thinking is if u run the ac its puts load on the motor this means more fuel but also more exhaust gasses meaning the turbo will spool more eazer meaning boost at lower rpm and extra fuel for the extra air, during normal drivin this is bad u dont want the turbo doing its thing, turn the ac off the dont let the revs get over 2k and the fuel average drops to near the same a na xr6 but put the boot in pump the ac and itll be worse than a v8mines a zf auto fg 65000klms or so running on 95 no mods .can anyone confirm this only asking because the ac really really messes up the econ every other car ive owned the ac only affected it like 1 or 2 L per100 unless mines fooked or the xr6s just have big compressors or somthing Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Did a run down to Canberra it was warm down had it on on the way back it was cooler no A/C averaged 10 down 10.5 on the way back.
