Do you have a Unijip cause that figure for a V8 seem's wrong

CYA JEFF

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

It's a stock XR8 ute , gets good higway economy (12l/100) , but seem's to

be very thirsty when not fully warmed up . I know they normally run a rich

mixture when cold, but it seems excessive .

cheers

I have had my XR6T up to 99L/100 but figured that it only had the room for double digits so haven't tried any more.

Mine only goes up to 99.9 too. Maybe they've changed the design; my car is a pretty early build.

I know everyone is sick to death of hearing about fuel consumption but I just need an indication from those of us with the Edit and Stock injectors on what they experience in terms of fuel consumption around town.

I have basic mods, larger intercooler, CAI, edit and am experiencing fuel usage around the 20-23 litres per 100km. This is based on the factory trip computer.

Now even with the factory map I still experience the same fuel consumption.

I even had it back to Ford to see if they could find out what the go was. Though all they did was plug in the diagnostic tool and told me everything was normal.

I run Caltex Vortex 95 ron premium unleaded as that's all we can get around this part of QLD.

I am lucky to get about 280-300 km's to a tank.

I'll admit I don't constantly baby the thing, but I'm not always giving WOT either.

So is my car a fuel guzzler or are other people experiencing the same situation?

I average 14L / 100k's in the city, bumper to bumper sh*tty Melbourne traffic.

Edit and drilled injectors.
