Sambo87 Member 26 Member For: 11y 3m 21d Posted 08/04/14 05:30 AM Share Posted 08/04/14 05:30 AM I've got a 06 bf xr6t manual with 394rwkw and my actual consumption (liters filled vs trip meter) is 15-16lt/100 but my computer says it should be 11.6?I drive a pretty economic run to work (50ks, 2 sets of lights and some half of it is freeway) so I think it should be more around the 11-12 that the computer says. I can smell fuel when over half a tank before start up just standing near the car.. Any ideas? Last month I spent nearly a grand on fuel! Any ideas? Sits about 13L per 100k on an average week (get stuck in a fair amount of traffic on the way home from work). On the weekend can get it down to 12.4-12.8L

Around town plus towing enclosed trailer on the highway. About 600-700kms per tank with the needle dead on empty and range is about 12km left
ljf12 Donating Members 20 Member For: 13y 10m 4d Posted 20/04/14 02:42 PM Share Posted 20/04/14 02:42 PM (edited) I have a stock 2012 F6 auto, vast majority of driving is in the suburbs. I have checked the consumption a couple of times by filling up and checking distance travelled, been around 17l/100kms. I always have it in performance mode, don't dawdle but certainly not hammering it.I know the consumption figures provided by manufacturers are obtained by bench tests but from what I have read generally in real world driving people struggle to achieve the published mileage.Correct me if I am wrong but I think Ford quote the urban cycle for turbos/F6 as being around 18l/100km which is around what I am getting. So many people seem to be using around 12l/100km around town, I have to ask how, can there be such massive difference from one car to the next? Simonr23 New Member 4 Member For: 11y 4m 22d Posted 27/04/14 12:53 AM Share Posted 27/04/14 12:53 AM I've just bought a used, stock 2010 xr6t manual. in my first 350kms, I'm averaging 10l/100km, avg speed of 55kph. there hasn't been any true gridlock city traffic, but about 100km of regular suburban driving (avg speed around 35kph) in this mix. running bp98. as the car is new to me, ive been giving it several small squirts through 1st and 2nd gears off the lights/at intersections. I'm really pleased with the fuel use. at 110kph(actual) it sits on about 7.7-9.2l/100kph (wind direction) and at 90kph, it's been around 6.7-7.2l/100kph.
