I changed my injectors as the ones in the car were farked, and changed my O2 sensor and I went from 16.5 down to 12.8 l/100km and I drive it mild-hard.

How did you determine that your injectors were farked?

Current consumption is sitting 15-15.5L/100 in my T and I know that I can do better.. used to consistently get 13.5 for exact same driving in my dad's BA on same roads/same driving so am sure its related to O2 sensor, but intrigued about injector comment.

Going to revive this thread and see if I can get some posts of how many kms you get out of a tank rather than l/100kms because too many people quoting their trip computer.

Stock I use to get 450-500kms a tank around town. Generally pretty good flowing traffic with occasional traffic lights. On highway use to get 650-700, a bit hilly but generally not bad, includes a bit of overtaking

Since my tune, running 294rwkw I struggle to get 400kms around town (maybe 5 or 6 squirts for a couple of seconds every tank) and about the same highway. I was expecting to increase fuel consumption especially if just cruising around. Does this sound pretty normal?

Getting close to 100,000kms so probably going to replace 02 sensors soon

on the weekend we did a 560 klm round trip in Bels G6ET, most of it was open road driving at 100 and 110 kmh but there was quite a few 40, 60 and 80 kmh roadwork zones, we ended up averaging 7.8 l per 100 klms

My cars horrible on fuel.

BF2 Turbo - Auto

Has a sh*tty tune, On cold starts its horrilbe, pumps out black smoke. Once warmend up drives very nice.

The engine light was on cause previous owner punched the cat out. My mechanic cleared it today.

On 98 no matter where I go I get 300 tops.

Could I change or check anything else? Would I get better fuel now cause error was cleared?

Im getting a custom re-tune done soonish

BA Mk 1 XR6T with SS Widemouth, Monza FMIC and Heinrich tune. I get ~430k to empty, ~350 to light on most fills, often equating to 15.0L/100 when calculated on L put in to trip meter reset.

That's all metro driving but not peak hour - average speed of 36kph according to trip computer...

That being said, should clarify what you mean per tank: is it when the light comes on? when it stops runnin as out of fuel? even 5L difference of the "tank" fill can make a notable difference in economy:

350km @ 50L = 14.2L/100

350km @ 55L = 15.7L/100

trip computers are known to be innacurate, only way is to reset trip meter and note L put into the car.

can someone give me a link to the correct o2 sensor for my ba xr6t ,cheers. 110,000klms, want a new on before dyno.

Did you end up changing your O2 sensor? If so can you let me know the part# also as want to replace mine to see if it makes a difference to economy.

So unless you consistently run the car dry (carry a Jerry) how can you know?

Or are you then referring to the estimated distance to empty once filled up?

Estimating what I get, normally fill up with 10L or more to go and so close enough to work out how far 68L would get me

Im sitting on 16.5L/100 at the monent with everyday peak hour driving. (Stock Standard car)

I would say a realistic average for me is around the 15L/100 range.

Lowest I have gotten the FG is in the 14L/100 range

My BF does around the same, if not a tad more.

Just bought a MK2 XR6T a few weeks ago and get exactly the same usage as you! My wife drives it daily to work

about a 15km trip in peak hour traffic and peak hour return trip. The average was 15/100 last week. Average speed was low 30s. (33-34 I think)

rarely sees boost at all unless when Im driving it on wkends:)

Ive installed a new K&N replacement filter this weekend, so ill see if this improves it any. If not ill think about cutting the holes in the airbox. (is it worth cutting holes in air box?)

Weekend use Ive managed to get 12.7/100 in normal stop start conditions. Easily climbs when you plant your right foot down as expected.

I thought maybe had a 02 sensor problem but after reading this not so sure now.
