guys/gals, dont use ANYTHING less than 98, it may cost more but I am doing like 12's in town and giving it, it saves you money, heaps more power, less fuel consumption, less stress on the motor, I can cruise at 9.2 for a turbo that hits 100kmh in near 5.5 secs that is amazing for fuel....

A car is your second biggest investment. don't buy cheap fuel......... cause at the end of the day, less performance makes more fuel....

My fuel usage is horrendous. Currently sitting at 19L/100, but generally around 20-21L/100. Car is mainly driven to work and back in peak hour traffic, but the way I drive I don't think it should be that high. It has come down slightly since being tuned. Luckily I only have to fill up once a fortnight as I don't clock to many km's.

Anything I should check/replace to help with this? o2 sensor?

Once tuned I wouldnt be relying on the read out. Its all changed. The fuel usage is measured from a constant.. that is.. the injector being the original sized factory unit. If you change it it will be flowing more but the ECU is still trying to work out the fuel used going off the original injector. They work it out using the pulse width and so on.

Pre-tune my FG was averaging 10.5-12.. mix city/hwy and the odd squirt

Post tune with 1000,s its sitting on 13.8-14.5.

Doing a full tank to KM comparison doesnt reflect the increased usage its telling me. And rightly so.. a good tune shouldnt give u a higher fuel usage. That is if it isnt running the correct AFR's on and off boost

Exactly what Jimmi said! Don't use the trip computer and actually see how many kms you get out of how many litres of fuel and work it out manually. I found mine was quite off. Also discount your battery and it will reset your trip. When I did this it reset to almost spot on to what I was actually getting

I'll do that next time and see how it compares to the car read out. From memory it seems to be getting similar km and litres when filling up, hopefully my memory is wrong haha.

oh and I noticed that if the fuel tank is full.....less mileage..

KEEP IT AT 3/4 TANK AND YOU WILL FIND YOU ARE PULL A HELL OF A LOT OF LESS WEIGHT,,

NICE HINT FOR YOU ALL

Why not 1/4 of a tank? That'd be three times better.

I have an EF s1 with a cam 5 speed conversion extractors it get 750 to 800 kms per tank to and from work (Bipin to Nort Richmond nsw) just bought a BA Mk 2 Turbo Shockwave being repainted at the moment it gets 500 to 550kms per tank but the BA tank is smaller than the EF.
