They can't be out by a few litres. Maybe a couple hundred hundred mil max.

Just going by what I've seen from filling various sized plastic jerry cans.

Didn't believe it so checked it later on using water and the markings on the jerry can weren't far off.

Check actual consumption. Fill up to first click, reset trip, drive, fill up again to first click, record litres used and km driven off trip. Only true way to calculate true consumption.

I have to hold the nozzle half in. If I push it in all the way, it clicks after delivering only a litre or two...

My computer reads 17 and a halfish and going off odo I'm only getting 300 maybe less to a tank in 80/20 urban/highway driving (havent gone anywhere long range yet), with not a lot of street bashing, by my calculations (which are probably wrong) that should be around the 20l per 100 mark.

I have been playing around with fuel economy for the last few weeks in my G6eT and have always played with it via tuning in my other cars.

For starters if you dont have a wideband air/fuel ratio meter you really don't know what the car is doing whist in the low rpm/cruise areas. A good wideband will let you know if you are running the correct a/fuel ratio and if your narrowband is working as intended.

What I have done is remove the factory narrowband and now running an Innovate LC1 in place of my narrowband (it can put out a narrow band signal which can be programmed also). I have adjusted the output on the LC1 so it runs at around 16:1 on cruise instead of 14.7:1. It does not give alot of fuel benefit but it does give for me another 30 to 50km per tank.

I also have HP Tuner so I can adjust other things like spark advance in the cruise area. My vehicle had been tuned to 350rwkw by a workshop and for some reason the advance in the cruise areas was too retarded for my liking. It was around 38 degrees in the cruise areas.

I looked at the stock factory spark maps and they were alot more advanced so I adjusted the cruise areas to around 50 degrees advance like the factory has it and like I would expect the map should look like. The car drives alot better now and I think this has bought back a bit of fuel economy that was lost from the workshop tune. I dont think many workshops really know much about the economy side of things and can sometimes inadvertantly make economy worse by touching areas of the tunes which are better left alone.

So now even with Nizpro drilled injectors I have gotten another 70km per tank on my route from the minor adjustment I have made. My next step is to swap out the Nizpros for some GT500 non drilled injectors to see what improvement comes from that. I dont like the nizpros drilled injector but in saying the design of the EV14 injector is pretty good when you can butcher the spray holes and still get the car to lean out to 18:1 air fuel ratio and still drive with no misfire.

I do everything in stages and test to see what the gains are. I am around the 500km per tank doing 30km trips in light to medium traffic.

Just making sure that the car performs as intended from the factory, ie getting 14.7 at cruise and making sure you have the correct factory advance settings should yield acceptable economy. If your tune has been butchered it will take a big hit in economy.

^^ let me know when you may be interested in getting rid of those nizpro injectors, if its in a couple of months time will be pretty interested.

On topic, I reset my car the other day and seems like my trip computer actually reads the same as my actual consumption now. I kind of wish this didn't happen as you feel better looking at 12L/100 than 14-15 but still using the same amount of fuel lol.

Can't seem to get it much lower than that as these cars are just too much fun to drive.
