What I cant believe, is that people pay that much for a tire.

Agreed I paid $250 & $300 per corner for my Marangoni's and can't fault them. Awesome grip in the wet & dry.

That's all good but what are you comparing against. All great if you are upgrading from a poor base ???

the marangonis are also a good tyre - very good for the price in fact, the yokos are a better tyre, but you are paying for it too

Guys appreciate the feedback, but without exception none of the tyres "you cannot fault" are not going to grip any better off the line than the factory Dunlop sports max are they ?.... so there ends the comparison IMO. Proof is in the pudding of course.

Understand it is all about grip and overall performance not value for money, otherwise I would run Homebrand all round LOL :buttrock:

what do you want the tyres to excel at Buf? if its drag style performance you want, try and find something with the biggest tread blocks, or the V shaped tread pattern that gives you a big footprint.

If its track style lateral grip, look at an assymetrical tread style, something like the Bridgestone RE050 or the Continental Spot Contact2 with big flat tread blocks on the outside shoulder and thinner staggered blocks on the inside for water dispertion

Senna , what you say is absolutely correct. What I want is a great, not average allrounder. These things stick , wet , dry and corners, so I am told. and have read Thing is if I want to run the qtr I will buy some MTs. For the street day in, and day out what is the best option on all corners, not good at one thing and sh*t at another??

I drive my car in a myriad of different conditions with 350 rwkw and I want tyres to suit. The cost is mine alone so cost is not the determining factor. If they are a sh*t tyre I am yet to read about it

Thanks for the feedback , but as said this is where my head is at and why......... cheers

Sorry if I sound abrupt , but I am trying not to waffle for the benefit of the members :buttrock:

I just got some new hoops. Ended up going with Japanese Falken 452's all around. 235 on the front and 255 on the rear.

Seem to do everything well at a competitive price....great bang for buck tyre I reckon....lovely to ride on too
