Panda1 Member 9 Member For: 17y 6m 9d Posted 23/03/08 04:05 PM Share Posted 23/03/08 04:05 PM (edited) G'day guys, I'd like to get some recommendations on a good ford mechanic preferable in the western suburbs of Melbourne, though I don't mind a fair drive since a colleague of mine recommended me SVO Motorsports in Ringwood. Reason is I'm having some concerns with my Ford XR6. I'm getting a weird shuttering sound coming from the engine. It usually occurs when the engine is cold and idling, when I drive the sound goes away, but when stopping or slowing down to around 10 - 20kmph, the rusty shuttering sound begins again. The weird sound ceases as the engine is warm enough after 15 - 20 minutes of continuous driving. Anyone got any idea's what the problem could be?Another note - When I got my car serviced by ford two months ago, they told me it was the bearings in the water pump seizing up, they fixed that, but the sound had come back like 3 - 4 days later. I'd greatly appreciate some recommendations and feedback. Hmmm that's rather a far stretch from me, since I live in Hoppers Crossing.Oh and what were your experiences with Mick Webb?
