5.1/2 years of the same/similiar car it was time for a change.....

I can relate to that... that's what got me in a ford after 3 holdens, despite the weeks of crap I got off a few friends and the bogans down the street..

Taking them for a drive shut them up..

It looks the goodz... Far stronger presence than the nados or the FGs...

Definately needs a forum sticker across the back window though... but you might get vandalized by VL / VK driver's shazza girlfriends wherever you park it... there's better ways to meet women..

@ Phatal: As I mentioned earlier, 99% of blokes that considers purchasing of a FPV UTE will do so for recreational driving - you will get those that will use it for a workhorse, but they are in the minority.

Most, like myself wants to boot it every so often, while staying within speed-limits of course, unless you're on a dragstrip or racetrack.

Of course everyone is entitled to their opinions, and for me, the UTE's handling doesn't do it, at least as a sportcar.

In most other departments it is on par, or ahead of the competition, especially wrt cheap, easy power, and then of course, the transmission.

So yeah, it will get chopped and refitted with an R34 Skyline IRS, when, I dunno, hopefully within the next year to 18 months it shoulde be complete.

I have 5 mates with F6 utes..... each one of them uses it fork work purposes..... I have a T ute also used for work purposes... I think you will find that most use utes for their intended purpose (work). I think that you will find the ones that dont use it for work purposes are in the minority..... most that use them for work will have something more suited as a performance vehicle... like a 4 door fpv.

Can you get rid out that aerial thingy on the roof? Its huge.

Yeah, it makes it look like a radio controlled car... big aerials are so passe.
