That hard cover looks good. Much better than the Maloo option.

I think those rims look terrible but I'll take your word that they look better on the car.

Nice ute dags! but yeah im with everyone on the rims, they look shocking. Ive seen rims similar to these on ebay, if anything it'll make your car look cheap. Perhaps some black spoked 20's with a chrome lip will look the goods?

so why the change??

You know that warm fuzzy feeling of changing into a pair of fresh clean new jocks.... :tonguepoke:

5.1/2 years of the same/similiar car it was time for a change.....maybe I should try the jocks change as well...

hows it compare to the F6?

This is where I start sounding narky and annoying... :tonguepoke: ...like I dont already...

I think it shouldnt be compared to the F6 as the F6 should really be compared to the Maloo as that is Holdens equivalent..but ...the SSV is all over the Tornado bar the kick and a couple of seconds of speed off the line. But the grunts still there and the sound from the quad exhaust is an aural delight after listening to the six for so long.

The SS currently is running at 12.4l/100 after three days of driving it against the F6 which was running at 15.6l/100 the last time I checked it, heading for Barham on the border next week so it will be interesting to see the difference after that run, the last time I went up and back just after chrissy in the Nado on one tank of fuel.

Handling is nice and taught with none of the skip and bounce like the leaf sprung rear end of the nado, you can throw it into a corner and not worry about seeing the tail end out your side window or feeling like its about to end up on its roof with body roll it sits flat and puts you where you want it to go, feed back and turning is a bit heavier but has a better feel imho although the steering wheels a bit flat and squarish and one of only three things I will fault the car on, the other being the cruise on the stick rather than the simple to use controls on the steering wheel of the nado.....and the goddam seatbelt reminder ding and indicator ticking..... :o which cant be turned off...turn the stereo up and it all goes away though...

Interior BLACK roof lining its a sport model for fcks sake make it look like one and not just any other POS off the production line, it doesnt cost any extra to make it a different colour....I'm fairly tech minded and can sort most all gadgets out pretty quickly but this ones taken me three days to get my head around, this is not a negative as it just has that many more options and menus with great features, like night time running lights which switch off ALL dash lights bar the speedo and trip computer, with 50% of my driving being night and long distances this a great feature and puts your focus where it should be, on the road in front of you and just the speedo to tell you how fast you were going when you got booked....

6 stacker MP3 player with full colour screen not just some monochrome crap that a certain 'higher' spec model had......bit of a problem with this also.....700MB discs take a lot of filling when your burning MP3's and trying to sort the tracks into them....the screen also has Satnav as an option but at 2k they can stick it up there arse...Integrated bluetooth standard with steering wheel controls is another great feature no need to reach for the dash as its all at your finger tips. Road noise also near zero compared to the nado as well. The A pillars are about 1/2 an inch larger but you quickly to get used to them, if you go way back into my earlier posts on this forum you'll find where I complained about the ones in the Ford as well when they were first released....

Projector headlights a nice and crisp light but let down by the high beam, but the nado was the same and easily fixed with some better globes.

Over all apart from the boost it's all over what should be a higher spec vehicle at a cheaper price.

Somebody get me a ladder to get down......
