I work at RACV taking roadside assistance calls and we also take calls for all the manufacturers who offer their own roadside assistance....I would have to say about 60-70% of the calls I take for them new car programs are for holdens and out of them 70-80% are for the VE commodores! Lots of frustrated Expensive Daewoo customers out there I can tell ya that. I've organised many tow trucks to tow many VEs back to the dealership. Suprisingly Ford ISN'T as bad as I expected.

A mate of a mates VE Berlina LS2 has had piston slap problems.

Contrary to what Expensive Daewoo would have you believe, it wasn't eradicated after the VTII :spoton:

It's also alot slower then its 270kw would suggest.

Hes had a GTS 3.7something ratio diff fitted, and along with the 6 speed auto it 60 foots no better then my stock F6.

And it's 3 tenths and 5mph slower down the strip :joy:

I was actually disappointed, thought it'd be a bit more of a challenge...

Of course you do realize your stock F6 running at stock 0.5bar boost = 6L naturally aspirated engine in capacity?

And you do realize the Turbo is essentially a torque multiplier, giving you a fatter torque curve than the nat asp V8?

So logically it should be faster down the 1/4, all else being equal ;)

Just my 2c.

Dags, hand me the Popcorn, please.....

Will be waiting for the Motor or wheels test comparison instead of relying on this flawed guesswork. Not like a manufacturer to exagerate some figures.
