Has anyone got a set of Sumitomo HTR Z III's on their car?

They have an excellent review on numerous websites, and stack up well against other well known big dollar performance tyres.

I can get a set for $275 each which is great for 245/35/R19's.

Ah well too late, already arranged to get these tyres on my rims tomorrow morning.

They seem like a great tyre, we'll see tomorrow night just how good they grip :)

PS, I've done something custom to the GT-P rims.. pictures to come when its on the car.

Seem much much better than the hankook K104's.

after warming up the tyres a bit it is almost impossible to spin second gear on the rolling, whereas before it would just spin all of second and chirp into 3rd.

I like them so far, I'll see how it goes after a few kms are put on them.

They look a bit wider when fitted on the car too, which is a bonus. Not sure why but I think its the extra layers or sidewall that these tyres have on them.

I can get 235/45/17 for $190 each (is that expensive?)

I also have an option of Faulkens 329 (Click Here)for $160each.

No sure on which to go with.

Sumitomo is a Japanese made tyre from what I remember. They've made some good tyres over the years but not all that popular for some reason. Good luck with the new tyres XF.

Falken 329 must be the replacement for the 326. They weren't real good apparently. The Falken 452 have recieved good reports so far from most who have tried them.

I'm currently using the Marangoni Mythos 245/35/19, so far they've been great. I've done almost 5,000km so far and their grip levels are quite high whilst the noise is low. I picked them up for $280 each. They're Italian made and come highly recommended by motoring reviews.

I have falkenss 235/45/17, not sure what model they are but they look similar to the ones in the pdf (can confirm when I get home) I was geting them for 123 or 135 can't remember exactly but I'm not too happy with them, the compound seems a little too hard, but they are very long wearing.

Yeah they are Japanese tyres, and they are their top of the range performance tyre which I guess has to compete with other top of the range performance Jap tyres (Yokohama..etc).

Low road noise, good grip, nice loud sounds when it chirps + spins, looks wide, nice pattern..

have not tested wet road traction yet, we'll see how that goes.

Mine were 270 a tyre which is pretty good for performance 19" tyres.
