My words before where meant to be a half sarcastic remark and not to be taken so seriously guys! :censored:

^You have to be careful, Sarcasm doesn't come across to well on the internet.

And with alot (not all)of the other posts I'm struggling to understand where people are coming from and what there talking about, is it just me? Or is anyone else having this problem.

TO try and clarify a few things in the thread,

1, people are baggin the brits for the amount of wars they started and fought in and claiming they are the only ones to do it, what about the romans, Attila and Napolean. There are probably more in history but can't be bothered searching.

2, To anyone who believes in God, Budda, three-headed dog, whatever, Can you explain to me how YOUR god (not anyone else's), etc etc would allow a 2 year old to get cancer and as a result lose colour vision, lose hearing, be infertile for the rest of his life IF he survives.

I have never been religious however, by my nephew having cancer has reinforced my belief there is no god.

3, 9/11, the jet fuel and the actual planes damaged the stucture enough that the frame weakened, this resulted in the area of the plane crash to collapse, the subsequent collapse and lack hammer effect of upper floors landing on the one below caused the rest of the building to collapse. Buildings beside the towers collapsed due to damage from falling debris. Anyone who has an idea of structural strength and integrity will know that.

4, whatever the reason for the US going to war, what are you going to do, boycott US products. Unfortunately they have too much influence on the rest of the world. I don't know what to believe honestly so I wil go about my ignorant life, driving with my middle eastern fuel, eating and drinking my western food, using my Asian electronics, and whatever else I use from other parts of the world that would not have been available had at least SOME wars been had.

No I have never been to war, nor do I want to go to war. Call me a coward but as said above WW3 will be fought with about 100 bombs and the next with sticks and stones in about 3000 millenuim. We won't even know what hit us.

RANT OVER!

geez that should get some reply's

Although I don't agree with most of what your saying I do appreciate you being consistant and easy to understand, hopfully more will follow rather then just "your wrong I'm right responses".

Yes, it depends on whether you are a rational person or superstitious fool who needs an imaginary friend.

Just remember MOST people used to believe that the earth was flat and the Sun orbited the Earth.

Whoa there big fella, "superstitious fool" is a bit harsh..

Any rational person should understand that science is a predictive model for the behavior of observable phenomenon,

It's simply a tool, not a belief system. Religion is used by many to find meaning or happiness in their lives, granted

some abuse the system as it is indeed open to abuse, just as science is...Science created biological weapons, where's the

rational thought in that? Comparing science to religion is like comparing a spanner to a blanket, both have their

place and use and both are equally useless when used for a job they aren't intended.

P.S A hypothesis of a flat Earth with the sun orbiting it WAS good science, it fit the observable facts and the understanding

of celestial physics at the time.

mods time to lock this one I think. There are no revelations here, just rehashing of opinions learned....either through Michael Moore or Fox News on the other side.

Also, I am not a religious person however I do find the sledging of peoples beliefs pretty ordinary.
