Was just wondering, should I save my money and look out for a Mk2. I know from reading past posts, that the Mk2 came with LPG rods.I am looking to mod car straight away to 250rkw, then to 290-300rkw.I am concerned about the springs and rods (more so).How much can they handle? To achieive the above results, I will be getting intercooler kit, injectors etc so less stress. I can not afford BF so BA mk2 is stretching my limits. Will a BA mk1 be sufficient? Also, since I am asking, how much would rods cost to put in. There are a set of atomics on ebay for 900.Thanks in advance,Jack

Where as the BA MKii manual is a lot better box.Stronger rods where only added after the BF MKii but late BA MKii's got better valve springs. You can find ones that have valve springs, exhaust, edit etc.You just need to get it checked out and make sure it's in good condition. Does it have to be Auto?XRT330

If your that concerned I'd be going for a cheeper BA Mk1 and then put bigger rods in it later down the track if need be. FPV dealerships are already trying to get rid of brand new tornado's and typhoons for sub $50k drive away so you should find a cheap 6T easy enough.Rhys
