That's running them at 35psi though lol. had them at 40 and might aswell had tyres made of ice hahaHow many kms do you reckon you'll get out of them? I have a pair of 265/30 Dunlop sport GT's to go on next. Really expensive tyres and they supposedly hook up great but wear is crap! Basically got them for free so don't mind lol

Not that I am planning on keeping the car that long.

About 20,000km. But they were supplied by ozzy tyres do god knows if they're real or not. Think Ima go bob Jane tyres next. So they don't cost me a sh*t load
Bulletime Donating Members 937 Member For: 14y 18d Gender: Male Posted 16/02/13 06:49 AM Share Posted 16/02/13 06:49 AM I got 30,000 out of the stock dunflops, would have got more if I rotated them. Then got 25,000 out of falken 452s, they weren't bad but I got ripped on price at bob Jane and also running them at high pressure for longer life they weren't that good, awesome at lower pressure but wouldn't get 25k out of them. Done 12,000 so far on my Michilin pilot super sports, prob get another 8-10, altho dunno now since I got a nail in one last week and can't do any more rotating since I have mismatched rears. Btw I do about 25,000-28,000 kms a year. I imported the Michelins from tirerack, was awesome, but I'd consider either ozzy or talebtyres next. Ozzy sorted me out quick this week with some replacement Michilin PS3s.
Danielsmith Member 87 Member For: 12y 5d Posted 16/02/13 11:42 AM Share Posted 16/02/13 11:42 AM (edited) On my old car I used a set of silverstone ftz sports tyres. They are due to be replaced but I got over 50,000kms out of them without rotating them as well. They where great in the dry very sticky on the roads, but not so good in the wet. But for the amount of kms I got out of them im not to fussed. Cant remember what they cost me as I bought them years ago but they where between $180 and $220 each I believe. Not even sure if you can even still buy them but will be looking into it. Edited 16/02/13 11:43 AM by Danielsmith
Danielsmith Member 87 Member For: 12y 5d Posted 16/02/13 12:08 PM Share Posted 16/02/13 12:08 PM well today was interesting for me. Got my first experience in a 2011 fg F6. Had been worked a little apparently it is running around 380 rwks. Was impressed to say the least and thank god for Brembo brakes is all I can say lol. It had a nice constant aggressive pull through all the gears and got to a decent speed real quick. Now I know weather it was really worth spending the extra money for performance or not wow. The only problem is I know I am going to have to update the brakes as well ha ha.Now something else to consider in Canberra as a good tuner. This is the third person this week who has recommended this person to go and see. Apparently he is a bit of a Brain when it comes to tuning and takes it very seriously. And from all accounts I here that he really listens to what you want not tells you what you want. The F6 I was in today was tuned by him and he said to the guy that he wanted the car for two days to make sure he really got it right. The F6 owner said that he even rings ford to get all the specs and delves further into what will work best with the standard components.Anyway I decided to see what I could find on the bloke and found his website he works out at Mitchell also. Here is the Link http://jakesperformance.com.au/I suppose to win HP Heros at summernats two years in a row he must be pretty good. And if you have heard anything different about this bloke let me know?Ahh and I also saw the esp work ute today cruising past me as well today. The queries for me with any of our tuners are do they know what they're doing (what's the tune going to be like), have they got a good rep, have they done many of our cars (a must!!) are their prices reasonable.Lol definitely need to do brakes! I have slotted DBA 4000 T3s on the front of mine with dot 5.1 brake fluid, I did have good pads but I destroyed them at the track so now I just have the stock ones back in the front and there's a massive difference to the good ones I had. Eventually I'm getting 4 pot brembos up front and territory caliper upgraaDe in that rear. Have to get bigger rims though clear the fronts though so it all adds up again. I've heard stories of people taking worked turbos in there and after getting re dynod they come out with less power. Weird :s but again that's all 2nd hand knowledge, never actually met a person who went there.

Like I said mate im no pro but seem to have some sort of vaccum gauge inside the car as well was full digital display went from -17.5 to positive 14, he said the car wouldnt go over 14 pound boost. Other than that cant help you.
