But using OBDII you would get all the stats from your engine in realtime rather than relying on the Iphone GPS and sensors.CheersHidiho

I've done 3 now and yeah I'll be doing a lot more lol.Don't be too worried about the time first time out is a mind *beep*, it's more about getting comfortable at speed and learning the racing line, as Geoff says accuracy first then speed will come, he's awesome btw hey, pretty funny dude!My first time out I did a 1:19.3, stock suspension and just dba 4000s with upgraded fluid and pads, next time out I did a 1:16.7 That was last year doing speed off the streets. This year I did the September circuit club day and learnt a lot from the track walk with Geoff and then stupidly grabbed him for the first session of the day. I saw stupidly because driver (brain) nor car had warmed up yet and he pushed me pretty hard, tyre pressures were all wrong and with his massive weight over the front left I had a big spin at the fish hook, but I learned from it all the same. Ended up with another few offs later in the day as well but it was good because I knew I was pushing lol.My best time from the circuit club day was 1:15.1, unfortunately I hadn't changed my brake fluid from last year so I ended up cooking the brake fluid later on in the day and couldn't get much faster at the end of the day. All was not lost though I looked at my Harrys data and put together my two best sectors for the day and I have a theoretical fastest lap of 1:14:1 which I'm mega happy about. Means even with stock engine, stock suspension and very minor brake upgrade I still have another second left to gain. Also I've just picked up some second hand track rims and slicks and I'm hoping to be able to get into the 1:12s just from the tyres.I might be heading out late this month to a speed off the streets day before the weather gets too hot, then hopefully by the time the weather cools down again next year I'll have teins, brembos and eflex pushing about 340 rwkws... that's the hope anyway lol, just bought a house so pretty poor atm.I've got a few vids I've been meaning to put on youtube so might get around to it, I've been meaning to give vbox circuit tools a go (http://www.vboxmotorsport.co.uk/index.php/en/products/performance-meters/18-customers/downloads/11-software), I think it's free but otherwise I'll check out dashware.Maybe see you at the track one day! Also what tyres were you running? and what pressures, they were screaming waaayyy too much lol And what suspension work have you had done?edit: my obd dongle works fine too, haven't used it at the track but around town I've never had a problem, cheap chinese ebay one? Sorry McInnes,It should have been Monster Pod, it's a mouldable camera mount with jelly like substance which sticks to anything, fit's on the dash in a matter of seconds and won't budge.Cheers hidiho

I'm, limited to Wakefield as I can't drive too far due to my back injury.

What do you guys think about am organised track day early March? It's either that or I'm going to powercruise lolYour suspension set up sounds pretty good mate! Mine is terrible for the track but would be interested to see how it goes! Did you dial in any camber for the track or just drove the car there as it's normally set up on the street? Did you dial in any camber for the track or just drove the car there as it's normally set up on the street?Hi Bellato,The actual Moster Pod website goes to another company so I think they have let their website go, best I could do was this link at Amazon http://www.amazon.com/Monster-Pod-MPX01C-Tripod-Stand/dp/B000LYF1DQ but I bought mine off eBay a few months back.I got the guys at Pedders to set the supsension up here and I just drove it as is to Wakefield with no adjustment to the camber, the only thing I did have to do was get it lifted up as I couldn't get in the driveway or garage at home. It's a bit bumpy ride around town but I don't drive it unless I have to as I generally take the Motorcycle to work most of the time.I'm in for a Wakefield day in March if it gets organised.Just bit the bullet and booked in for the 7th of December with Circuit Club.CheersHidiho
