Well - Like a few others here.... I was asked at work the following morning if I was tied... Thought the boys were referring to the girly I picked up the night before, however then they drop this report on my desk about the drag on the M5....

All I could say was my car is Black....

Then went to the RTA this morning to pick up my new plates and change them over - only to then get questioned by the dude behind the counter... again told him it was Black....

3rd and final straw... was driving to a restaurant near the rock in Sydney this evening and well low and behold 3x unmarked F6's... 2x blue, 1x orange.... and guess what... as soon as they saw me come around the corner had them everywhere all over me!!!

Just played some Frank Sinatra on the stereo, smiled and said boys boys boys... I have a black car, and I think what u are looking for looks more like that (pointing at the unmarked blue F6)... Then said good night and drove off... *typical boys in blue, wish the ones like that would get over themselves*

I mean racing is kinda fun... im sure there woundn't be a single FPV owner that could honestly say they have never ever done it at some point and some level, if even from one set of lights to the next... Winning is even better, and getting away with it... well some may say legendary... but getting hassled by everyone, mates, RTA and then Cops just cos u have a car with a FU(K!N badge the same as someone that was good enough to get away with it (so far) is BULLS4!T.....

oh - btw for those guys who wondered why the monitoring cameras on the M5 and most of the other motorways in Sydney can't see the rego plates correctly... well lets just say a lot of the setups on Sydney roads were down by the same company they did the orange 'help points' at all the train stations as well.... The camera lenses that were supplied were not what was demoed and spec'ed... Dont ask how I know this but just believe me on this one....

and no this is not a recommendation to go and test them out for urself... The M5 is monitored and there is highway patrol on stand by at any moment when the cameras detect a car got from one check point to the next a little to quick... reports of people being pulled up some way down the road are heard all the time... your better off sticking to eastern creek is your in Sydney...

:eyebrows: :loc: :makedeal:

By far the biggest load of sh!t ive ever read on this website. From your first word till your last. What you have said it is equal to that of an attention seeking child.

I'm with I.B. on this one smicky. Yeah, maybe the guys at work gave a bit of :eyebrows: at the start, but unless you where doing something to draw attention to yourself I doubt they would have thought it was you out of the 16,267 possible T's on Sydney roads, especially as you are driving around in the wrong colour (as you kept pointing out)...

(OK so I pulled a number out of my arse, my point still stands)

Lol my mum rang my sister up to see if it was her boyfriend as he frequents the M5 on his daily trek to & from work.

What I want to is how did the audi get caught, like seriously if you are going 220kmph the cops aren't going to get anywhere near you just keep the boot in.

I've never really seen the desire for freeway runs though they bore me, anyone can hold an accelerator flat. Go play in the hills even when driving at the posted speed limit its enjoyable.

Far more serious injury collisions and fatal crashes occur at this time of night then during day light times. Drivers are more fatigued at 2am and more often affected by alcohol, drugs and a night of partying. Not even close to being safe.

My take on these speeds, is how unpredictable other drivers on the roads are when they do not expect or could not be expected to forsee other vehicles travelling at 220kph. A simple change of lanes or a merge onto the freeway with headlights only in view cannot be differentiated between 110kph and 220kph.

And I dont think the toll cameras matter if he paid the toll??? Plenty of other road monitoring cameras that line the M5 but I think he might be safe.

And I hear it was an XR6T not FPV.

I Understand that and agree with you, what I meant was safer for others as there wouldn't be as many others on the road.

As he went past the boys on the side of the road his conscience kicked in. I believe its a touch more serious when you make them chase after you.

that's if you get caught... in canberra there is a few good spots... but cops are everywhere here... so you take a risk.. but its still fun to go someone for 100 - 200m. I love playing with the s200's and the wrx's here.. as some of the other canberra boys would tell ya... mostly looks no go.

and mine is silver... so not me..

Most sane people would disagree with you, because even if you do get away there are few things to think about, did they get my number plates, did they get me on the camera (every highway patrol car has a camera, front and back) will they check the cameras along the M5 or even at toll booths.

That's if you do get away at the first place, I think in the town you have a chance of getting away if you know the area, especialy if you fly past them at 200 km/h but on the freeway....I wouldn't try. And probably the only reason the FPV got away is that they pulled over the Audy and couldn't go after him.
