What I really dont want like or need is the bloody aircon rad in front of it ! Ill take the whole thing out one day and replace the air condenser with an oil catch can ! Ive always noticed the temp sit a little below half if I dont have the shield on with the original thermostate... shield on it sits 1/3 on the guage.I think if your going to run a big cooler, its a good idea to make sure your radiator is in good condition to be safe, and get the lower temp thermostat fitted.CheersChris Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Process West Member 248 Member For: 18y 7m 11d Gender: Male Location: Wollongong NSW Posted 14/03/08 05:55 AM Share Posted 14/03/08 05:55 AM Factory water temp guages only have 3 positions..Normal, hot and off the guage.Generally normal is anywhere under 102 degree C, hot is 102-115, off the guage is boiling.If you have ever had an aftermarket water temp guage you will see that it constantly moves as the thermostat regulates the water temp.So if you are seeing the factory guage move from its normal position the car is not happy.Kev Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
