His Evo 8 MR is daily driven and has stock turbo. Most people over here are scratching their heads as to how he did it ... he is just a very good driver.ref http://www.natsoft.com.au/cgi-bin/results..../2008.WAKE.S4.YBrian

Unclip the harnesses - drop the lower control arms and remove the front driveshafts. Get rid of the tailshaft, zorst and coolant etc, rip out the engine mounts and lift her out engine/box holus bolus. It takes me longer to re-align the f&*ing gearbox on the back of the block than put the engine back in!! We had everything off and ready to pull out in an hour or two. I've also done these engines before, so the more you do the quicker you get.. Hope to be back at Wanneroo in December at the next No-limits night.

GT-RS? 2530?Sorry, I skipped over this. Not going big, but what I think is a very good all round turbo. It's an FP 18G-6SL2. So it's a proper 18g, with a matched TD06 turbine wheel.Generally guys just throw in the comp wheel from an 18g & it doesn't do a very good job, or a 20g and live with a mismatch combination..I think a nice 300hp (~225awkw) @ all 4 will do nicely.. "The FP18G6SL2 turbocharger is a good choice for those looking for more power than the Big 16G in a street turbo. The 18G is rated at 600cfm, that's enough airflow to hit 400whp. We use the 18g wheel over the Evo3 wheel due to the 18's better high boost performance. The 18g wheel maintains its compressor efficiency much better in the 22-28psi range than the EVO3 16g wheel can.It bolts up just like a regular 16G, and spools quickly enough to be very streetable. The 18G compressor wheel is mated to a TD06SL2 turbine wheel, which gives it better performance at higher boost pressures than the TD05H turbine, while maintaining lower exhaust manifold back pressures. The turbine housing is cast pre-ported and fitted with a 34mm flapper valve. The WG passage remains stock diameter to limit blow open and boost drop off in the upper RPM. It is equipped with a 14psi wastegate actuator to further assist in hold boost to redline. Replaces the cat and has a bung welded in for a Wideband sensor. Also had 6" round muffler put on the back - nothing exciting there.. Sounds ok..It's a pig in peak hour

Caught me off guard - 1st and second were too quick for this late at night... The second it turned both front tyres thru first, I was gone.. Anyway -I'm guessing 0-100 in about 4ish seconds, seeing as it spends an eternity on the soft limiter..................fcuking quick off the line.
