Frk me your a good cog swapper!

Sounds real nice, damn I miss my lancer.

Cheers, it does sound fat ... The cams come in and it's a little bit growly.. I like it..

As for swapping cogs, that's one handed - & not used to the button yet... swapping 1-2 was a bit slow, the revs came up quicker than I anticipated and it caught me off guard..

2-3 was ok but I hesitated on the 3-4 as I was going to go there, I've never pushed it that hard since the build.

But yeah, it's shifts ok.

Cheers guys.

Looks great front on.. Biggest drama with the whole theme - every bast!d in a falcon or SUV wants to race you... ho hum..

I'm out testing boost / timing settings and no less than 5 dimwits wants to let me know how slow it (probably) is (well, they try)

Happy with progress, well it's getting there.. limited until I have new intercooler piping / bov (leaks @ 15psi) & full management, which will be in a couple of weeks when I have time to get it fitted & tuned.

As far as it goes now, it's an animal around corners. I went thru a quick left right. Nailed it halfway thru the left and where every other car I have owned would have under steered into the kerb, or turned it's-self around with such reckless abandon for the use of full throttle (big red ute) this thing squats, the LSD's tighten up and it just slingshots INTO the upcoming right hander........... on sh!tty jap road tyres.. :)

Check out the neg camber I have dialed in, 3.5 deg - perfect for these things..

Wasn't going to fast when I went for a drive with u Saturday hahahahhaa

Did u sort out the Muffler? Lucky it didn't blow the guts out of your Turbo Seals

Hey - we got round a few corners!!!!

Note to people, blocked exhausts cause conflict with engine rotation! (this had been cleared & gramps workshop)

A quick replacement was not an option, so I cut the whole baffle section out with some long cutters.... New one will have to be custom'd.. But yeah, it's all fixed again..

So with a collapsed muffler I headed to the dyno for a quick check before heading to the track

Boost couldn't be held up top, new actuator coming. (well, with a new turbo attached to it anyway)

17psi early, dies in the arz to 14psi up top. (follows/causes that torque curve) Peak power is also at 11.2 AFR - all on the ECU in the car - not yet tuned. This was built, driven up there and run up with 430km's on the clock.. Power comes on nice and hard early..

Typical numbers for a car with a tune (proper ecu) is 270 - 290 hp @ all 4 on ~18-20 psi

On the dyno the guys played with the boost controller and tweaked the timing to stock settings.

Apparently it makes good torque?? I dunno, may aswell be in units of cheese for what it's worth - I can't work out what that is??

Still stock intercooler / piping / front pipe. This is effectively boost and cat back with cams.

Took her to Barbagello - one lap before it caught fire ( don't stress!) It blew the dipstick out and the oil caught fire. Saw the smoke, stopped and put it out - no damage!

Did a 1.11 first (and only) ever timed lap on the long track with suspension so hard I was nearly ejected out the window. I was coming over the crest, hit ~195kph (off the clock) on the downhill and hit the bump - foot came off the brake and nearly ended up in the sand.. Wild ride... (note to self, get that seat / harness and grippy pedals)

fwiw my single 1.11 lap put me 12th out of 40 when I came in, pretty happy with that considering everyone had 2 lap sessions prior to me going out..

Softened the suspension and went out on the short track - 59.45 after four familiarization laps on a cold track. Brought it in because there was a slight vibration noise.

Went home, noise wasn't sounding too flash so I pulled the engine out on the weekend to investigate. It has spun the oil pump bearing and flogged the oil pump out. SO, new one coming from JP along with some balance shaft removal parts & some other bits & pieces.

The fun and games continue..
