I know the car has rev cut at 5800. but does it have a boost cut?I have strung out first gear and it feels like it hits a wall if you keep the revs at about 4500 for to long is this the cut or is it my spark plugs not being able to handle the boost?also I have a 4 speed auto its going well but can you get it to shift faster I was told a tune can make it shift faster and stop the rev cut. but I dont have that option on my insurance.before I got the car I had a look at specs please correct me if im wrong but BA XR6T pushes 6 psi of boost and the springs and rods wont take more them 280 - 300 KW. its an aug 03 model is anyone here with and XR6T pushing 280 - 300 KW or more on stock springs/rods.I am looking to get a 2.5 inch exhaust from the cats back. is there anything I should look out for before I get the exhaust put on. my last few cars were XF and a mazda I know about engines but not much about turbos or engines with an ECU.Any help would be great cheers. The factory exhaust is pretty good, so for normal power levels its ok.The tune will harden up the auto shifts, but this is the only way you can do it.The power you can get out of a BA motor depends on the tuner and the other equipment you are using. If the car is working its arse off to make the power, then the chances of breaking something are higher. If you free up the inlet and exhaust sides of the motor, this allows you to run less boost to acheive the same power levels and will take the stress off the engine internals Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/43539-ba-xr6t-info/#findComment-645216 Share on other sites

Exhaust has been done. Still all and I MEAN ALL that piping is still there. I don't mind for the time being though because it looks stock as a rock.
