:stupid:

258rwkw at 13psi sounds a bit weird. Also aren't 40lb injectors a bit small? And just because the cross over is gone doesn't mean the turbo has been touched could still be stock.

probably 42lb injectors, good for 300rwkw if not a bit more.

258rwkw at 13psi sounds like the boost has been increased to get the power and maybe not much touched on the timing side of things. (mine is 258rwkw at 10psi)

Sorry to bring up an old thread, but have blown the engine in my BA ute, and am thinking of just fitting a stock turbo engine to get it going for now.

Is it OK to run my bigger exhaust, and intercooler with the stock engine without a tune? My exhaust is the APS system, bigger cat, and I think a PWR cooler.

I dont want to add my hotup bits to this motor. If I have to, I will get a standard exhaust and fit. I can go back to my standard tune(flash tune)

The problem we have down our way is no real tuners. The closest to me is Adelaide, 450ks. I would need to get the ute over there, and its not as simple as putting it on a trailer to get it there.

I did read thru this thread, so just trying to get some helpfull info that's all.

If you are unable to get a tune when you put the new motor in mate your best bet is to run it with stock everything to keep it safe. When you are ready to visit your tuner take all of your go fast bits and get them installed when it gets tuned.
