But decent rubber costs money so do decent weight wheels. Your normal 1 piece tempe specials are generally regarded as anchors and come with appropriately cheap rubber. ratter Member 6,793 Member For: 18y 5m 18d Gender: Male Location: @ my laptop Posted 11/03/08 10:14 PM Share Posted 11/03/08 10:14 PM If tyre tyre sizing is done correctly, the rolling diameter should remain the same as a smaller tyre so there would be no affect on gearing, but the added weight of the bigger wheels will affect how quick the motor will rev up.Tyre brand will affect grip even if the motor is reving slower (due to the extra weight) so you will still possibly get wheel spin even with the lower performance with cheap tyres.
