Just got back from the dealers and Ford have a part specifically designed to fit into the rear bumper once it's been cut so it looks oh so much better than some of the horror stories I've seen on this site.

These two pictures show the fitting/capping. Now I just have to decide which towbar to go with :banghead: I'll only be towing about 4 times a year so I could take the tongue off where the hayman is there to stay.

What's everyones opinion - the Hayman style or the tongue ?

Personally I would not cut my $2,000 rear bar, it looks horrid no matter what bar is fitted. I would spend the $500 on a towcar or use the wifes car.

I'm with you ZAP_F6 on that sentiment. it's almost sacrilege to bastardise the rear bar, how about buying a rear bar off a XT and shoving the shin catcher through that if you have to. That way people like myself wouldn't be concerned and get in your face about it,....... isn't this a performance car not a $500 tow car, if you want to do that why didn't you buy a HSV they do that sort of thing all the time.... but hey they are w a n k e r s... Me thinks I have said enough...
